Our focus for 2011 was again on performance. Ensemble offerings included Jazz and Contemporary Music Combos, Percussion Ensemble, West African Ensemble, Steel Drum Band, Drumline, Dance Accompaniment, Brazilian Drumming, World Percussion, and more!

Such a wide range of performance opportunities within a single camp is rare and is made possible through the occasional integration with the other camps of the Institute: Jazz Camp, Computer Music Camp, and Dance Camp.

Campers also enjoyed a wide variety of formats

    • clinics
    • masterclasses
    • workshops
    • private lessons

All were presented by our experienced and nurturing faculty.

In addition, campers experienced electronic drumming classes as well as offerings by the other camps. Frequent evening concerts provided the chance to take in professional performances by faculty and guest groups.

On the final day, campers presented a music concert for the public while performing in numerous ensembles.
