DRUMSET AND PERCUSSION CAMP WILL NOT BE HELD IN 2014 DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL. The Drumset And Percussion Camp, part of the Goucher Summer Arts Institute is normally  held annually during July at Goucher College in Towson, MD, a suburb of Baltimore.

Our focus for 2013 was again on performance. Ensemble offerings included Jazz and Contemporary Music Combos, Percussion Ensemble, West African (Ghanaian) Ensemble, Drumline, Afro-Cuban Percussion Ensemble, Dance Accompaniment, Brazilian Percussion, World Percussion, and more!

Such a wide range of performance opportunities within a single camp is rare and is made possible through the occasional integration with the other camps of the Institute: Jazz Plus Camp, Audio/Multi-Media Camp, and Dance Camp.

Campers enjoyed a wide variety of formats

    • clinics
    • masterclasses
    • workshops
    • private lessons

All were presented by our experienced and nurturing faculty.

Frequent evening concerts provided the opportunity to take in professional performances by faculty and guest groups.

On the final day, campers presented a music concert for the public while performing in numerous ensembles.
